Brody Wilkinson PC is pleased to announce that it recently entered into a strategic affiliation with the law firm of Jeck, Harris, Raynor & Jones, PA in Jupiter, Florida, to serve the needs of clients in the areas of estate and tax planning. While this relationship will facilitate the cooperation between our two firms, both will remain independent.

Historically, Brody Wilkinson has clients who divide their time living between Connecticut and Florida. With the recent changes in state tax law (i.e., retention of the Connecticut income and estate tax, repeal of the Florida intangible tax and estate tax), many of our clients have consulted with us about changing their tax domicile to Florida. When a client changes his or her residence to another state, we recommend that their estate planning documents be reviewed by a capable attorney in that state.

With our new affiliation, we are able to provide that service in a seamless fashion by using experienced Florida counsel to assist us in any necessary document revisions. Our firm has a long solid relationship with the attorneys at Jeck, Harris, Raynor & Jones, PA and we have the highest regard for their abilities.

For those clients who are making a permanent move to Florida or who wish to have access to a local Florida attorney, we are able to make appropriate referrals. However, for many of our clients who continue to maintain a residence in Connecticut, we believe that this affiliation will enable us to maintain these valued long-term relationships and assist our clients in the best way possible.
