Thomas J. Walsh Jr., a principal of Brody Wilkinson PC, was recently appointed vice chair of the Middle Market and Small Business Committee of the American Bar Association for a three-year term.
The Middle Market and Small Business Committee assists lawyers who counsel clients ranging from private family and middle market enterprises to smaller public companies by providing guidance on the myriad of business “life cycle” issues they confront regularly in their practices. The Committee is a long-time advocate before the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Internal Revenue Service and other regulatory agencies of reform to represent the special needs of small businesses.
Mr. Walsh concentrates his practice on general corporate matters, commercial transactions and commercial real estate. He counsels clients – from entrepreneurial start-up enterprises to larger privately held companies – through each phase of their growth serving as primary outside counsel. Mr. Walsh also advises both lenders and borrowers in commercial financing transactions, including revolving credit, asset-based, real estate secured facilities, workouts and restructurings.
